And, as a reminder, South Cambridgeshire District Council has issued the following press release:

South Cambridgeshire voters are being reminded that polling stations will be open from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm this Thursday (8 June) for them to cast their vote in the general election.

Voters are advised:

  • You don’t need to have your poll card with you to be able to vote.
  • If you are a postal voter and haven’t sent back your completed voting pack, you can drop it off at your polling station and your vote will still count.
  • You can only cast your vote at the polling station your home address is registered under – this is listed on your polling card or you can find it using our polling station finder at www.scambs.gov.uk/elections.
  • If you have a disability, polling station staff can offer a range of help from large print ballot papers to refer to, to helping you to mark your ballot paper.
  • As long as you are in a polling station queue by 10.00 pm, you will be able to cast your vote.

Candidate lists and previous election results for South Cambridgeshire parliamentary constituency can be found at www.scambs.gov.uk/elections

Alex Colyer, interim chief executive and elections returning officer at South Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Your vote matters, so make sure to get out on Thursday and vote. Our polling station teams are there to help you so if you need any advice on the voting process, or help to vote on the day, please do ask.”
