Not a very good day...

To say 3rd May 2018 was not a very good day for Conservatives in South Cambridgeshire is being realistic, for from having been in overall control of South Cambridgeshire District Council for 13 years, we are now in opposition to the Lib Dems.

The Home Office has given the go-ahead for Cambridgeshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Jason Ablewhite, to take on responsibility for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire Authority.

The parliamentary constituency of South Cambridgeshire includes the Queen Edith's ward - which is part of Cambridge City.

Like South Cambridgeshire District Council, it is having elections on 3rd May – our candidate is Manas Deb who is having another crack at winning the seat for us.
