Our Local Plan approved – at last

The much-delayed South Cambridgeshire Local Plan, approved by the independent Inspector on 3rd September, was given final approval by South Cambs District Council at a Full Council meeting on 27th September.

Conservatives back bid to build council houses

Conservative councillors are backing the bid by South Cambs District Council to take up a government offer for councils to borrow so they can build more affordable homes.

Shrobona Bhattacharya is one of Cambourne's hardest working ladies, for not only is she a Cambourne District Councillor and a Cambourne Parish Councillor, she organises regular, free community events and runs clubs and workshops to encourage people from various backgrounds to meet others.

Heather Williams, our District Councillor for The Mordens, has just made her TV debut.

A reporter from local TV station That's Cam TV heard about Heather's campaign for South Cambs District Council to have a specific room for mothers to be able to breast feed their babies.

Sue's Summer Sizzler Sees Sixty in Swavesey!

The Swavesey Summer Barbeque held on 6th July – and kindly hosted by Sue Ellington – was very well attended, with nearly 60 people enjoying the fine weather and hospitality provided.
