Get a postal or proxy vote

If you are going to be away on any polling day and therefore unable to get to a polling station to vote in person because you are...

  • At work, travelling or on holiday...
  • Have moved house since the electoral register was drawn up and have not yet joined the register at your new address...
  • You are physically unable to get to the polling station...
  • Just don't have the time...

... you can still exercise your democratic right to vote.

You can choose either to vote by post or to appoint someone else – a proxy – to vote on your behalf.

If you'd like to know more about voting by post, visit the Postal and proxy votes page on the South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) website.
