New guided bus takes guide(d) dog

Sunday, 7 August, 2011

John Reynolds, Conservative County Councillor for Bar Hill and puppy dog walker, took trainee guide dog Vania for their first journey on Cambridge's new guided bus – they are pictured with Ian Bates, the County Council's Cabinet member responsible for the Busway, the longest such transport system in the world, which opened on 7 August.

A woof of approval and much wagging of her tail signalled a very satisfactory ride.  They are pictured at a stop between Trumpington Park + Ride and Addenbrooke's Hospital.
